Romans 2: 15-16

Case for Christ

'The Gentiles show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts accusing or excusing them. In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel' Romans 2: 15-16.

'Christ sent forth his disciples into the world, by their lives and doctrines to season it with knowledge and grace. If a man can take up the profession of Christ, and yet remain graceless, no other doctrine, no other means, can make him profitable.' Matthew Poole

I used to think, the cream will rise to the top and naturally I am the cream, so, keep churning. The revelation is I am not the cream,  I am the salt. It is my place to overcome the world through Christ and to season it with the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ.

Throughout these early chapters, Paul proves the impossibility of salvation apart from Christ. He lays the groundwork for our guilt and the groundwork for a Savior.

Paul will start building the Case for Christ.
